The South Eastern Kenya University (SEKU) was established on 1st March 2013 as a successor to the South Eastern University College (SEUCO) constituted under the Legal Notice No. 102 of 15th July 2008.
The University main campus is located near Kwa-Vonza, Kitui County, about 150 km from Nairobi along Machakos-Kitui
